nikita: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India; My camera sees what I want it to see but still it makes me wonder why a particular moment in time, when captured, seems to evoke so many different emotions…. almost like picking up the missing link in a story or narrative.. just that in this case one is free to imagine a new beginning and end to what a picture could have been a part of. I particularly enjoy taking in the different facets of humanity and cultures through a viewfinder because once a particular moment is framed in composition, the colours just become brighter, the lines more vivid and each element speaks to you with a sense of splendour. Photography has made me perceive my environment in a completely different light and has made me a lot more aware and sensitive to the plethora of details around us that we usually take for granted. It has been an ever evolving journey for me in finding my sense of expression through the medium of photography and I hope you enjoy viewing these moments of my journey as much as I have enjoyed being a part of them!!
